Dezmon Dean
Case Manager
Dezmon was born in New Mexico but raised here in Utah. He is the oldest of 11 children in a blended family. He lived in Florida for two years where he served a mission for his church. He is currently studying business management at UVU. Dez has been with Stillwater since 2016. He has a background in treatment working with adults. He had a desire to help struggling youth and that is when he found Stillwater. He is one of our many amazing primary counselors. Dez has a unique rapport with the students as he is able to use his own personal life experiences to relate and connect with them. He loves seeing the students he’s working with discover who they are, and realize their potential. “I love the focus on connecting and developing a relationship with the kids. The culture feels like working with family.” Dezmon is the director of our band here at Stillwater. He has played in bands for many years. He brings his passion for music and bridges that with a therapeutic approach. The music helps the students heal and process emotions. When he is not at Stillwater he enjoys playing the guitar, camping and hiking, learning new things, and spending time with friends and family. He recently became an advocate for Operation Underground Railroad and is very passionate about having a role in bringing awareness to the issue of human trafficking.
