Christine Anderson
Financial Literacy & Careers
Christine was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, but her father was in the army and she moved six times before settling in Utah for college. When people ask Christine where she is from, she tells them the east coast, primarily Virginia and New York because that is where she spent most of her formative years. Christine was married to her sweetheart in 2009 and together they have four beautiful daughters.
Prior to Stillwater, Christine has taught in a variety of settings. She started her teaching career in 2007 at a therapeutic school, similar to Stillwater, and found she loved the environment. To date, she has taught math in four other therapeutic environments: as a full-time teacher, part-time teacher, substitute, and tutor.
In her free time, Christine is an avid reader. She also enjoys creating and editing videos for YouTube where she and her husband share his piano music. She loves time with her girls and cherishes the luxury of being home with them while they are young.
What Christine loves most about working at Stillwater is the connection she is able to have with the students. While math is her content love, teaching Financial Literacy and Careers have given her the opportunity to learn about the students’ hopes and aspirations for the future. The small class sizes also really allow Christine to work one-on-one with her students. Relationships are important to Christine, and Stillwater is an amazing environment to foster these connections.
